Well, that thing earlier was a drunk entry. Lately I've been pissed off at my body, and it all came to a head last night when I drank too much and ate three pieces of pizza and a chimicahnga. Grr.... and I wasn't sick enough to throw up.
So it's weird how college changes people. Like, honestly, if some of my friends from home and I went to the same school, we would totally be in different groups. For instance, Kendra is a music major, and therefore, mainly associates with the other music majors. I don't have a problem with this, but I know that I can't stand most of the music majors at ISU. Well, at least the ones that lived on floor 10. Would I start getting irritated with Kendra if she went to ISU or I went to Truman? Also, she's a member of CCF (Community Christian Fellowship, I think?) and I can't help but be bothered. It's like an extended youth group, and I have a problem with youth groups. Youth groups are basically a tool of groupthink; there is no room for individual spiritual curiosity. It uses peer pressure to stunt spritual growth by placing all of the answers to questions in the youth pastor and/or the consensus of the group.I feel like I was brainwashed while participating in every youth group meeting I ever did. And it troubles me that a smart girl like Kendra puts all her efforts and endeavors into her religious conviction. I know that I could not associate with the religous zealots at my school. They seem so uninteresting when all they say is Jesus this, Jesus that. Seriously, I half expect when the Rapture comes, Jesus will say, "Yeah, thanks for the flattery, but honestly, shut up".
